In 1999 The Brighton Mitre CC organized a 24 Hour time trial. The result saw Dave Shepherd of the Rother Valley CC win with a distance of 483 miles. This was the last time that the all day event was run on roads in the south east of England until 2011.
In 2011 Andy Wilkinson's mileage of 541 miles set a new record for the distance. The four main award winners where Andy Wilkinson pictured right (541 miles) John Warnock (517 miles) David Shepherd (483 miles), and Bronwen Ewing as first Lady (406 miles). It has been decided to hold the event again in 2014. Once again Esther will be organising the event with support from many of the 2011 Team.
The CTT and the VTTA have confirmed that this event will be both National Championhsips for 2014.
The first entry for the 2014 ESCA 24 Hour was received by Esther on Christmas Eve. Paul Tunnell, of the Addiscombe CC has entered and voluntered to be off No1. Esther has had various other "promises".
